Keiko
(April 8, 1998 - Dec 5, 2012)
Keiko was a very special girl, one
of Zoo Crew's own. My first dog
of my very own. She was a
challenging puppy, destructive
and ornery, but matured into a
highly intelligent, well behaved, and beautiful dog. Very
independent, yet loving. She was a great teacher and mentor for
the other dogs in the family. Loved being outdoors, and loved food,
her favorite indulgence being
french fries. She was a fairly
healthy dog, with only minor
issues and arthritis, up until she
was diagnosed with atypical
Cushing's disease in 2010.
We managed to treat it
holistically, up until her passing.
She was a fighter, and still
enjoyed life and walks and
food up until the end. She is
one of the most beautiful dogs I
have ever had the pleasure of
knowing, and one of the
smartest as well.
She is greatly missed. She may
be gone, but she will never be
forgotten.
